The dossier Arqueología del Litoral brings together a selection of the papers presented at the Mesa de Arqueología del Nordeste Argentino (NEA) of the XVIII Congreso Nacional de Arqueología Argentina (CNAA), organised by the Universidad Nacional de La Rioja in April 2013. This table included twenty-four original works by specialists from different institutions in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. It was because of the large number of papers received for the roundtable - the largest number in the last 20 years -, the quality of the presentations and the discussions that generated that it was decided to publish this dossier. It constitutes a collective effort of the authors who responded to the invitation, the evaluators who contributed to improve each work and the editorial team of the Journal of the Museum of Anthropology of the FFyH of the National University of Córdoba; to all of them our gratitude.
