AGROECOLOGÍA URBANA: HUERTOS, GRANJAS Y VIVEROS COMUNITARIOS COMO DISPOSITIVO DE TRANSFORMACIÓN DE LOS CUERPOS Y COLECTIVIDADES EN CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, BOGOTÁ, SANTIAGO Y CONCEPCIÓN

Abstract

Cities are considered vibrant places of creativity, innovation and cultural diversity, but they also face many environmental, social, political and economic challenges. Such as uncontrolled urban growth, social inequality and environmental pollution. To address these problems, movements led by people from all backgrounds build innovative and critical solutions to create more meaningful ways of life from urban agroecology. They seek to transform cities through food cultivation and the promotion of citizen participation in the governance of urban spaces. This article presents an exploratory study that aims to understand how the development of experiences where urban agroecology is practiced with community actions in gardens, nurseries and farms in Mexico City - Mexico, Bogotá - Colombia, Santiago - Chile and Penco – Chile have led to the transformation of the relations of the subjects with themselves, with nature, with their community, their territory, food and local economies. Around these experiences and learning devices this exploratory study is developed. The transformations they have generated range from bodies to territories that, in interaction with individual and community action, have faced adversity based on the resignification of social interactions and collective actions.
