The state of public health services in Argentina has made it necessary to evaluate the management capacity of primary centers and the development of assistance networks. The aim of this project was to assess primary health services strategies in the health centers of the Malvinas Argentinas community.
The methodology comprised a diagnostic stage, a stage of intervention and validation of the proposed reforms and a quantitative and qualitative analysis of results.
The project raised awareness to health care issues in the primary centers, and to the necessity of devising strategies for effective assistance despite the socio-economic decay of the community. Additionally, a community network was identified through which the health education efforts should be strengthened.
The main impact of this research project is related to the links generated among the institutions involved.
