Resumo
Uno de los métodos utilizados para estudiar la emoción es la inducción emocional, en la cual se presentan a los participantes de una investigación estímulos (imágenes, palabras, sonidos) que generan respuestas emocionales. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo completar el proceso de validación del Sistema Internacional de Imágenes Afectivas (IAPS), aportando los datos normativos en
población argentina para los conjuntos 6, 13, 16, 17, 18 y 20. Una muestra de 623 universitarios evaluaron 360 fotografías en las tres dimensiones afectivas: valencia, activación y dominancia. En línea con los estudios previos, se halló una distribución de las puntuaciones en forma de boomerang en el espacio bidimensional afectivo. Se reporta evidencia acerca de las diferencias en las evaluaciones
afectivas en función del sexo (registrándose mayores niveles de dominancia frente a los estímulos en los hombres) y el país de origen (observando que los argentinos mostraron mayor nivel de control en comparación con muestras españolas y estadounidenses).
