Dados normativos na população adulta argentina para a Escala Breve de Ansiedade e Fobia Social - SPAI-B

Resumo

A detecção precoce e o diagnóstico clínico da ansiedade social são essenciais para a prevenção e tratamento dessa patologia. Por esse motivo, na Argentina, a versão resumida da Escala de Ansiedade e Fobia Social (SPAI-B) foi adaptada para uso em adultos. Embora esse instrumento tenha permitido expandir o campo de pesquisa no país, até o momento não existem dados normativos que sejam úteis como ferramenta diagnóstica. O objetivo deste trabalho foi construir os baremos do SPAI-B em adultos argentinos a partir de uma amostra de 1.513 pessoas entre 18 e 80 anos. As escalas foram estabelecidas de acordo com a idade e o sexo por meio de valores percentuais e escores T. Os resultados mostraram que os pontos de corte estabelecidos como critérios diagnósticos apresentam boa precisão e poder discriminativo satisfatório, mostrando a utilidade da escala para pesquisa e avaliação clínica.
