ESENCIALISMO INDÍGENA Y AUTENTICIDAD EN DISPUTA. ANÁLISIS DE LA TRAMITACIÓN DE LA PERSONERÍA JURÍDICA EN LA REIVINDICACIÓN DE LA COMUNIDAD COMECHINGÓN DEL PUEBLO DE LA TOMA (2008-2009)
Abstract
El trabajo analiza el papel que ha adquirido el proceso de la tramitación de personería jurídica en el proceso de comunalización de los Comechingones del Pueblo de La Toma. En el contexto de disputa de autenticidad que despierta el proceso de reivindicación indígena en la ciudad de Córdoba se indaga la manera en que aquel proceso contribuye a crear representaciones esencializadas de la identidad indígena que luego son re-apropiadas y re-significadas por el grupo emergente. Luego reflexiona sobre las implicancias coloniales de estos instrumentos de reconocimiento de la diversidad cultural y sus relaciones con la producción de la subjetividad. El texto se basa en el trabajo de campo etnográfico llevado a cabo durante los años 2008 y 2009, periodo clave en dicha tramitación.

Abstract
The paper analyzes the role played by the process of acquiring legal recognition in the communalization of “Comechingones del Pueblo de La Toma”. Within the framework of struggles for authenticity awakened by indigenous claims in the city of Córdoba, the paper discusses how this process help create essentialized representations of indigenous identity. These representations are reappropriated and resignified by the emergent group. Then it considers colonial implications of this instrument of cultural diversity recognition and its links with the production of subjectivity. The work is based on ethnographic fieldwork conducted between 2008 and 2009, a key period in the process of legal recognition of this community.
