El Núcleo Interdisciplinario de Formación y Estudios para el Desarrollo de la Educación (NIFEDE) de UNTREF –conjuntamente con la Cátedra UNESCO "Educación y Futuro en América Latina–, junto a la Sociedad Española de Pedagogía, organizaron el VIII Congreso Iberoamericano de Pedagogía. El evento tuvo como lema "La innovación y el futuro de la educación para un mundo plural" y se realizó del 14 al 17 de agosto en la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
