AgriScientia publishes original works, which have not been previously published or are not being considered by other publications, in whole or in part.
All articles submitted will be thoroughly reviewed for the purpose of plagiarism or self-plagiarism detection. Plagiarism is considered when authorship is omitted or when glossary is not cited and/or when minimal changes are made to a third party's text and it is presented as original, or when there is an original authorship reference but the source pages are inaccurately marked. Autoplagiarism is considered when the appearance of a work is changed and it is presented as if it were a different one, or when the indication that the work is a new version of another work that has already been published is omitted.

Given the limitations of automatic plagiarism detection programs with the Spanish language, and in order to respond to broader aspects that are registered as plagiarism practices, the journal implements the following procedure:

- When submitting the article, the authors are asked to declare that the article has not been previously published or sent to other journals for evaluation and that they have followed the Guidelines for Authors, which establish that the articles submitted must be original.

- Upon receipt of the article, the editor uses Internet search tools in order to track and compare data, results and writing aspects in other works of the same or different authors that allow to corroborate the originality and avoid plagiarism practices.

- When sending the article for evaluation, the reviewers are asked, according to their knowledge of the sources and the literature on the subject, to alert the journal to possible indicators of plagiarism with works previously published in other sources.

If plagiarism or self-plagiarism is detected, evidence of it will be sent to the author and a response will be requested. If this is not satisfactory, the manuscript will be rejected and no new articles will be received from this author for a period of three years.
