Abstract

Virus free plants of swett potato were obtained from meristematic shoots tips culture of cv. Colorada and Blanca Brasilera . The cu'tivar Colorada produced 3.7 Y plants with respect to nreristenis used , but only 1 ,8 yo were virus free. The ev. Blanca Brasilera produced 13,3 % complete plants and 8,5 % virus free. From these healthy plants was initiated the virus free plants production program. The addition of 1-naphtalenacetic acid ( NAA) and kinetin, hoht in concentration of 1 ppm to the Murashige -Skoog agar medium increased the porcentaje of plants obtained with cv. Colorada. Most of meristematic tips deve'oped into complets plants in 60 -90 days.
