This work identifies and analyzes labor risk factors for the nursing staff of public health services in the city of Tucumán. 43 /SP Revista de Salud Pública. Volumen XI. Número 1. 2007 600 nursing workers were studied, with the exclusion of managing staff (chiefs and supervisors) and those on sick leave. A risk evaluation matrix was used, that included risks pertaining to nursing. A questionnaire was used to assess the degree of job satisfaction, and socio-demographic variables such as gender, age and training in nursery. The exposure to physical risks, though significant in all aspects of the job, was not found to be associated with pathologies. Chemical and ergonomic risks were related to exposure and lack of control. Analysis of biological risks evinced a high rate of biological accidents for personnel with small time on the job.Downloads
