Este número de la Revista de Economía y Estadística está dedicado a la memoria de Miguel Angel Vizzio, colega y amigo,entusiasta e inclaudicable luchador en un campo de batalla difícil, el de sostener desde la universidad pública un espacio para la educación de excelencia. Siempre inquieto intelectualmente, indagó sobre los problemas de valorar proyectos de inversión incorporando el potencial de la teoría de la elección social para este fín. Desde esta perspectiva, logró organizar y trasmitir a colegas y alumnos argumentos potentes y datos sobre Argentina que avalaban el profundo malestar que le causaba la expansión continuada de la influencia del pensamiento burocrático en la sociedad, al que veía como una amenaza para la supervivencia de la voz de la universidad pública en la sociedad argentina.
