The publishing of scientific magazines in universities has had two major components that generate substantial changes in editorial work, on the one hand, the Open Access (AA) initiative to scientific information in the world since 2002, and on the other, the arrival of capitalism cognitive or informational, focused on the valorization of knowledge as a producer of informational goods.
PREFACIO magazine temporarily arises in this field, therefore the work experiences haven’t had large-scale modifications, using technology for the generation and distribution of scientific publication since its birth. Nonetheless and as a result of inquiries made to members of the editorial team, there is no remuneration for the tasks carried out, in economic terms and in terms of institutional recognition, the condition of which is adjusted to the term of collaborator.
In this sense, the precariousness of work in scientific magazines is a central point to consider, taking into account that said work is complementary to others carried out by the group, takes a significant amount of time in its production and is not regulated.
