Construcción de conocimientos y saberes en torno a la presencia de pueblos originarios

Abstract

The objective of this work is to share our experiences and strategies implemented in the articulation with the community of San Eduardo, province of Santa Fe, for the critical discussion on the assumptions linked to the presence of indigenous peoples in the south of Santa Fe.
As a result of this interaction, we carried out an extension project “Emerging from the roots” (Resol. No. 2043/2022) that we developed jointly between students, teachers and directors of the Primary School No. 6008, Commune and Museum of San Eduardo and students, teachers and researchers from the National University of Rosario.
Many towns in the south of Santa Fe (Argentina) settled near lakes recognize local history from the founding of the towns on the banks of the railroad. The roots of this are found in the construction of a political history that annuls the record of the indigenous peoples who inhabited the same territories, in pursuit of a homogenization and territorialization imposed since the formation of the National State. Despite the achievement of a discourse that sought to render invisible any presence of the indigenous (other), it did not succeed in eradicating toponyms, paths and narratives from oral traditions, which bear witness to the territories built by these peoples until today. Archaeological research in these lakes added to these multiple knowledges in the territory.
