About the Journal

The proposal of the Sendas magazine is to present articles resulting from research processes in arts or artistic research processes of recent graduates of artistic university careers and various academic paths, both teachers and degrees. The bet is to make room for the voices of those who have gone through knowledge production processes: doing work, systematizing processes, producing thought.

Of an academic-scientific nature, the journal intends to collect the written production both of those research processes where the artistic work had a central role as well as of the investigations focused on the specific pedagogical approach that artistic topics require. In this sense, Sendas is constituted as a space from which to make visible an especially important part of the knowledge that is produced in institutions that promote an artistic academic offer: that generated by the students at the end of an academic journey. For this reason, it is, in addition to a place from which to circulate the most relevant contributions of the final degree projects, an instance in which recent graduates can do what is often their first experience of academic publication, with all that this means: the adaptation of the articles to the length and editing standards required and their approval by a committee of external evaluators. At the same time, we hold the conviction that the knowledge that is generated within the Public University must be shared. This Magazine, created by the Secretariat for Research and Production and the Under-Secretary for Graduates (FA-UNC), aims to implement actions aimed at consolidating the field of artistic research, through the incorporation of the youngest actors in the community , and at the same time position ourselves in favor of research, particularly artistic research, as valuable activities for society as a whole. Neither disposable, nor cut-out, nor expendable.
