Abstract

In this paper we propose to evaluate the impact attributable to the Sectoral Funds for High Technology (FSAT) program of the National Agency for the Promotion of Science and Technology (ANPCyT) of Argentina. In particular, we want to determine whether the performance of the private companies that integrated the beneficiary public-private associative consortia improved thanks to the program, in relation to the performance they would have shown if they had received support in individual innovation projects. For this purpose, we will implement a quantitative approach based on the application of impactevaluation techniques. The results show that there are positive impacts on the trajectory of the companies that accessed the FSAT program. On the one hand, the evidence showed that the growth in spending per employee on innovation activities was higher thanks to FSAT. On the other hand, the growth in employment and total sales was more intense thanks to the program.
