Este documento aborda questões relacionadas com o componente bucal da saúde de migrantes registrados na Argentina e no mundo. Os aspectos seguintes são incluídos: Introdução abordando as características dos atores e do transplante migratório; os cenários em sua complexidade sociocultural; o enfoque teórico - metodológico em vigor para a saúde global e dos padrões de saúde. Análise de problemas, incluindo ramificações psicossociais de adaptação dos migrantes; a aculturação como uma variável interveniente sobre alterações na morbilidade decorrentes da imigração e os resultados de diferentes estudos sobre a condição buco-dentária de migrantes que habitam diferentes regiões do mundo. Reflexões sobre a responsabilidade da universidade pela marginalização da população migrante e as ferramentas disponíveis para lidar com a responsabilidade social e cívica da sus competência.
