Abstract

The use of a virtual campus developed with Moodle freeware by teachers belonging to the Library Sciences courses at the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), Argentina is analyzed. This virtual campus was implemented in the 2006-2007 period for supporting traditional classroom teaching. An online questionnaire survey designed to Library Sciences teachers, consisting of several closed questions and an open one, was conducted to research about uses of the plataform and integration to their theory classes and practices. According to collected data, functions and implemented tools are described; opinions and suggestions about potentialities and limitations detected by teachers are analyzed.
