Abstract

The project "Cinema comes to the neighborhood. Migrant women and the right to culture" was developed between May and November 2022 and its main objectives were to create a space for meeting and recreation with migrant women living in different popular neighborhoods of the city of Córdoba; to promote access to culture through film screenings in different public spaces in the neighborhood and to promote spaces for exchange and decision-making by migrant women. This project was a proposal born from the dialogue between the Migrations and Urban Space Program -which is based at the Center for Research and Studies on Culture and Society (CIECS) (CONICET/UNC) and works in research and articulations with migrant population in the city of Córdoba- and the Human Rights Program of the FFyH -which seeks to promote research work that addresses issues with a human rights perspective and strengthen ties with different social spaces from the collective construction-. In order to materialize the project, institutional coordination was carried out with the Extension Secretariat of the School of Philosophy and Humanities, which was also part of this proposal.
