About the Journal

The Revista del Museo en Ciencias de la Salud is a biannual virtual publication of the Museo en Ciencias de la Salud (MeCSa) of the Facultad de Ciencias Médicas of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. The aim is to consolidate the communication between the museum and its public by generating spaces for the publication of scientific, pedagogical, community participation, cultural and divulgation works related to health. 

 The Revista del Museo en Ciencias de la Salud was born in 2021 to contribute to consolidate communication, disseminate and articulate the multiplicity of activities that museums and related organizations carry out.

It is aimed at the public interested in topics related to museology in health sciences, scientific and pedagogical activities of museums in relation to health, museum work with the community, among others.

It is currently in the Portal of Journals of the National University of Córdoba.

Objectives:

  • Consolidate communication between the museum and its audiences by generating spaces for the publication of scientific, pedagogical, community participation, cultural and health-related outreach work.
  • To generate contents according to the needs of the museum's organizations/publics.
    To enable free access to contents to be used in schools, museums, cultural and neighborhood organizations for pedagogical, recreational, informative purposes, etc.
  • Contribute to the contact and sharing of knowledge and practices produced by other museums of the FCM, UNC, province and country.
  • To make possible the circulation of knowledge and practices produced by other museums of the FCM, UNC, province and country.

Open access policy and assignment of rights
The Museum Journal of Health Sciences adheres to the Open Access policy and does not charge authors to publish, nor does it charge readers to access published articles.

The Health Sciences Museum Journal uses Creative Commons Open Access licenses for all its works:

This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. 

This license allows others to download the works and share them with others, as long as authorship is acknowledged and they are not used commercially.

Peer Review Policy

The Revista del Museo en Ciencias de la Salud has a peer review policy with external reviewers, is anonymous, double-blind and online.

The function of the reviewer is to evaluate the quality of the content of the manuscripts for publication; in this sense, they will analytically analyze the articles, the scope and relevance of the work submitted.

Papers for publication are submitted through the journal's platform and are selected through peer review to ensure the quality of the work. The result will be informed to the author through the same OJS platform.

The section editors send the manuscripts to the reviewers, who have 20 days to evaluate the papers.
