Abstract

The Law 26579 modifies the majority and unifies the minimum age for marriage at the age of eighteen. The new legal regulation has removed the effect of parental consent on a independently way as a requirement for minors to marry, as it is currently included in the trial of judicial dispensation, having disappeared the category of minor that, even when they had the marriageable age, had not reached majority.
