Resumen

El sueño desempeña un papel fundamental en la salud humana. Existe vasta evidencia de que el déficit de sueño provoca graves consecuencias para la salud individual y pública. En este estudio realizamos una revisión narrativa sobre diferentes intervenciones basadas en nudges dirigidas a mejorar la duración del sueño de las personas. Los nudges (del inglés, empujón) son intervenciones diseñadas para incidir en el comportamiento de las personas de manera sutil y no coercitiva. A pesar de la escasez al momento de estudios específicos con una mirada desde las ciencias del comportamiento, consideramos que los nudges representan una vía prometedora para fomentar comportamientos de sueño más saludables. Específicamente, destacamos el impacto positivo que genera enviar mensajes de textos para aumentar la cantidad de horas de sueño de las personas. Concluimos sugiriendo recomendaciones pensadas desde las ciencias del comportamiento para el diseño de nuevas intervenciones.
