Abstract

Summary: The Nursing from its origins was considered as an occupation based on practical experience and common knowledge and did not provide for scientific knowledge of the profession, this was born with the first Nursing theory. It is recognized to the Nursing care as a fundamental variable in the operation of health services; it is estimated that approximately 70% of the health care response corresponds to Nursing activities Therefore, the better or worse quality of care has a decisive impact on the attention provided by the health system as a whole. Therefore in the Sanatorio Allende Cerro arises to strengthen the theoretical and practical content, using the Thought nurse; and implementing a strategic plan that will allow the pre and post of the nurse to enter the service. It is concluded that the need for professional development is the reality of the work of the nurse in that sector. Monitor care, it is possible; take care integrally to the patient, wrapping to your environment, it is the ideal desired.
