About the Journal

Nomen Iuris Journal was born in the city of Cordoba, within the framework of the Master in Law and Argumentation that is taught in the Faculty of Law of the National University of Cordoba. This Master's Degree began in 2006, and since then it has contributed to the training of those who work in the academic and judicial fields.
The objective of the career is twofold. On the one hand, to favor the legal practice and the justice service in general. On the other hand, to encourage the collective development of ideas. This task is sometimes arduous, but it is enormously rewarding. During the two years of the curriculum, students engage in dialogue with leading jurists and legal specialists. The incalculable discussions, arguments and original works that are built collectively in the classroom are the most valuable result of this process. In that sense, the Mastery is a small light that helps its assistants to awaken and understand the most significant social, juridical and political problems of our community.
As we do not conceive the construction of ideas if it is not in a collective way, we believe that it is vital to spread these academic efforts in the university and the community in general. Thus Nomen Iuris was born as a space of transference within reach of anyone with a genuine interest in reading and reflection.
This journal consists of two sections. The first section publishes selected articles in an open call. The second section disseminates thesis works elaborated in the context of the master's degree, already approved, which have been recommended for publication by the evaluating board. In both cases, the proposed articles go through the double blind referee evaluation process, as a guarantee of quality.
