Aprender y enseñar en pandemia desde nuestro sillón

Abstract

As is well known, the global context in 2020 created chaos in society. The social gap widened, affecting the population in general and mainly the most vulnerable families. The school closings left a large number of students without the possibility of accessing a basic right: education. As a student at the School of Chemical Sciences-UNC, through the extension project “Virtual and Technological Assistance for Secondary School”, within the Science and Technology Programme of the Student Services Secretary, I worked as a tutor at the school Escuela Normal of the city Alta Gracia during that time. This article aims to show the need to assist high school students, particularly if they are taking their last year. Tutorships were done by 104 volunteers in different high schools to provide assistance in chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics in 7 educational institutions in the city of Cordoba. As Mercado (2020) states: “Inhabiting the new classroom/no classroom has put at stake the main components of the teaching- learning processes, interaction, situated thinking, learning tools, academic/scientific language, time and space, speaking, writing, listening[1]” (p. 23).
