Mejora de procesos en la gestión mediante implementación del Ciclo PDCA: caso de aplicación en empresa de servicios
Keywords:
lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, plan-do-check-act cycleAbstract
In an increasingly dynamic context, the organizations are encouraged to continuously revise their internal processes in order to enhance their performance. The application of the Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle is a powerful tool to systematize continuous improvement that has been widely used in different industries and organizations. In this case of application, this tool is applied to propose and implement improvements in some important line of business of a medium company dedicated to civil engineering works. This line is the provision of auxiliary services related to the maintenance of the home gas network in the city of Bahía Blanca. Particularly, the problems that are addressed are the improvement in the process of entering new information, the process of obtaining households’ conformities and the process of generating payment reports. The implemented modifications allowed to improve various processes of the company, reducing working times and minimizing the possibility of human errors. This shows the benefits of applying continuous improvement tools in the company and encourages decision makers to continue with this task.
