Abstract

The paper analyzes the problem of choosing a working group with specific roles to develop informatic projects. The problem is complex because it includes technological and social issues; its resolution requires consideration of perceptions and attitudes of many people and requirements of different organizations. Given this complexity, this document proposes a multi-methodological approach that incorporates group perspective for the analysis of necessary decision making. This approach combines Soft System Methodology with Repertory Grid, with a multi-criteria decision method for group, called Processes DRV and with Binary Programming. The approach is exemplified with a real case, it is a company that outsources computer services.

The document includes evidence that it approach contributes to reduce shocks that affecting to the group decision-making processes, thus favoring the training and commitment of involved players with the adopted decisions. In the conclusions, the paper suggests the possibility of transferring this approach to other management systems, such as environmental or quality systems.
