Microhistory, Santa Fe, IdentityAbstract
The text reflects on the 450th anniversary of the founding of Santa Fe, connecting tangible and symbolic history. Through personal and academic experience, the construction of Santafesina identity is explored. The importance of archives, interpersonal encounters, and intertextuality in historical research are highlighted. Furthermore, the connections between Santa Fe and other places across time are analyzed, including the Malvinas Islands and the Spanish Empire, emphasizing the microhistorical methodology and the analysis of trajectories. The reflection concludes with the idea of an open-ended history, subject to constant reinterpretation.
