Abstract

La noción de Segunda Transición Demográfica (STD) fue inicialmente utilizada para describir los cambios en la interrelación entre fecundidad, formación familiar y patrones de nupcialidad, observados hacia fines de la década de 1960 en los países de Europa occidental y del norte (Lesthaeghe y Van de Kaa, 1987).
