Abstract

From the perspective of the study of writing displayed in public spaces initiated by Landry and Bourhis (1997), this article focuses on the signage displayed in the institutional space of a hospital in the city of Bahía Blanca, aiming to determine the level of accessibility of the information presented there. To this end, we collected written productions exhibited in common access areas and conducted interviews with the institution's users to assess the extent to which the displayed messages are understood by those who visit the hospital. The analysis allowed us to identify the characteristics of the hospital's linguistic landscape, as well as how users interact with the linguistic productions displayed.
