Translenguaje: derribando barreras en el aula de lenguas extranjeras

Abstract

El campo de enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras ha experimentado un cambio gradual de paradigma. Las lenguas ya no se consideran entidades separadas, sino construcciones y prácticas sociales que pertenecen a todo el repertorio lingüístico de los hablantes. El translenguaje busca promover y acompañar este cambio. Sin embargo, muchos programas de idiomas alrededor del mundo todavía se basan en concepciones monolingües de enseñanza y aprendizaje. En el contexto argentino, las políticas lingüísticas y los diseños curriculares para la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras no reconocen aún el potencial de esta nueva pedagogía. Para que este cambio sea profundo, es necesario cuestionar las metodologías prescriptivas y fomentar una actitud reflexiva en los programas de formación de profesores de lenguas extranjeras del país.
