Abstract

This paper presents a literature review on post-grouted bored piles. The effect of the grout on the behavior of the pile is analyzed, as well as the construction methods and different devices to performance this technique. Six case histories reported in the literature were chosen, which have extensive information on the performance of this type of foundation. The studies consulted showed that, when carrying out the load injection at the tip of the pile, the tip bearing capacity and the lateral friction of the pile are significantly increased. In addition, the grout increases the stiffness of the soil and reduces the settlements of the pile, being a very appropriate solution for deep foundations.
