The states have a wide range of public measures that they can adopt to address the consequences of pollution in general and climate change in particular. One of the main anthropogenic activities that generated this climate disorder is the generation and consumption of non-renewable energy sources, hence the importance of renewable energies as a possible solution. In this framework, there are many sectors of society that can contribute to promoting renewable energies and mitigating climate change (housing, transportation, industry, etc.), but we will focus on the housing field, since it has been shown that In most countries, around a third of the energy used is directly linked to the housing sector.
