The European Court of Human Rights has already ruled several times on the internal effects of an international surrogacy contract. The sentences reveal the legal, political, ethical, moral and social dilemma that the cases pose when trying to achieve the right balance between the public interest and the interests of the individuals directly affected by the decision.
