Abstract

In the beginning of 1813 academic year at the University of Cordoba, Instituta professor José Felipe Funes, nephew of the celebrated Dean, opened his Chair giving a long speech. This piece of oratory, so close to the political revolution and the first patriotic education reform in Cordoba, a work of a man formed in the colonial period, is an excellent testimony to see the impact of aforementioned events into the university corporation. In this paper we will focus on the justification of political change and fears produced by this change.
