Abstract

Sub-superficial cariogenic demineralization in cuspidic areas its influence on cavity preparation. The aim of the present work was to analyse ex situ teeth with AD occlusal caries and evaluate surgical treatraent and filling with amalgama to determine if the extension and preparation of the cavity includes in al! its peripheric angle the desmineralized arcas. Thirty human teeth (patient age range 13-25 years, third molars and first premolars) fixed in neutral forrnalina pour 48 hs. and histologyc technique. Cavity carving and filling with amalgama. The sample were sectioned (VL) with carborundum disk. Observed by microscopy lateral incidence.
