Abstract

Man being placed among the animals relatively refractory to pneumococcal infection, as well as the dog and the ram; capable by their own morbid negativity of circumscribing the infectious attack, the acute affections of the broncho-pulmonary pleuropulmonary apparatus were considered as local reactions, when today, by clinical and experimental laboratory facts, they must be reconciled as general diseases with respiratory localization.
