Abstract

The first American Congress of the Child warmly urges the public authorities, in the interest of the destiny of the race, to establish progressively in all cities public and official gymnasiums and open-air schools for weak children.

Author Biography

Benito Soria, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba

He was a pediatrician, professor and politician from Córdoba. As a physician he was awarded a scholarship in 1909 to study in Europe, Professor of the Chair of External Pathology (1915-1944) at the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Cordoba and director of the Casa Cuna. His disciples founded the Committee for the Defense of the Child. As a politician, he was National Deputy for Córdoba for two terms and National Senator for the same province.
