The University of Cordoba is pleased to express its support to this solemn act of the Instituto Sanmartiniano, which thus publicly establishes its branch in this city, whose purpose is to contribute to the patriotic work of the Institute, precisely stated in Article 2 of its doctrinal bases: "the study and permanent and methodical teaching of the main factor of our Argentina, the Liberator José de San Martín".

Rodolfo Martínez, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba
Rodolfo Pastor Martínez (Córdoba, Argentina; May 19, 1919-Buenos Aires, November 6, 2012) was an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as Minister of Commerce and Industry during the dictatorship of Pedro Eugenio Aramburu and briefly as Minister of Defense and Minister of the Interior of his country in 1962 and 1963.
He studied law at the National University of Córdoba, graduating with a gold medal and diploma of honor in 1942. He worked in the courts of Córdoba and since 1945 he was a clerk in two courts of the Federal Capital. He was a prominent opponent to the dictatorship of Edelmiro J. Farrell, and in August 1945 he was a member of the Democratic Coordination Board, formed by leaders of almost all parties, which organized the March of the Constitution and Freedom in September. He was candidate of the Democratic Party of Córdoba for the governorship of his province in 1946, being defeated by the Peronist Argentino Auchter. After settling permanently in Buenos Aires, he was professor of History of Political Philosophy at the Instituto Superior de Filosofía El Salvador between 1946 and 1949. He stood out as an opponent to the government of Juan Domingo Perón.
