Author Biography

  • Agustín Berti, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Instituto de Humanidades

    He is head professor of "Analysis and Criticism" in the Cinema and TV Department of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC), Argentina. He is an adjunct researcher at CONICET (Argentine Council for Science and Technology). He is also member of Dedalus, a government funded research group focused on Philosophy of Technology. Agustín Berti holds a Ph. D. in Literature, where he worked the intertwinement of aesthetics and technology in the digital milieu. His work focuses on the changes caused by the emergence of an extended technological mediation in literature, cinema, photography and audiovisual arts. Other interests include migration and philosophy of technics. His work has been published on peer-review journals and books in Mexico, Colombia, Italy, the UK, the US, Switzerland, Chile, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina. He is also a regular contributor to magazines the discuss politics and culture such as Deodoro and La Intemperie. His first book, "From Digital to Analog. Agrippa and Other Hybrids in the Beginnings of Digital Culture" was published in 2015. In 2017 he co-auther the research-creation project "La Biblioteca Roja. Brevísima relación de la destrucción de los libros" [The Red-Library. A Brief Account on the Destruction of Books] agustin.berti@artes.unc.edu.ar
