Enfoques de la tecnología en los estudios organizacionales. Entre lo social y lo material, lo organizacional y lo tecnológico

En el presente trabajo se sintetizan los principales enfoques ontológicos y epistemológicos de la tecnología en el campo de los Estudios Organizacionales. Lo motivan la complejidad teórica que existe en la literatura entre lo material y lo social en las posiciones ontológicas y epistemológicas referidas a la tecnología en las organizaciones. Revisando los autores que han estudiado el tema desde de diferentes disciplinas: sociología, psicología, economía, administración, ingeniería y filosofía, se observó que aún no existe en la literatura una idea acabada de lo que la tecnología significa para las organizaciones, incluso, autores que pertenecen a una misma disciplina y/o se identifican dentro de un mismo enfoque teórico de la tecnología, plantean posiciones ontológicas y epistemológicas diferentes. Se realiza un aporte en este sentido, identificando aquellos aspectos que caracterizan y los autores que trabajaron en cada una de las posiciones, organizando la información de forma tal que sean de utilidad para poder realizar a futuro una profundización ontológica y epistemológica del estudio de la tecnología en el campo de los estudios organizacionales.
