As teachers, we are a product as well as a consequence of our implicit conceptions. Because of that, we believe that it is crucial to carry out a change in our conceptions as a first step towards achieving further deep modifications within the educational system. This idea is based on the concept of a spiral or a dialectic circuit of modifications which would imply changes in the very theories which attempt to change the system. This may be not a substitution but a reorganization within the framework of a new theory or relation ofconceptual systems. Next, we analyze some proposals oriented to review the so-called conceptual change and how ICT tools may help in this process.
