The education of a sculptress in her youth
Keywords:

This article reconstructs the formative journey of the Argentine sculptress Martha Bersano during her youth in the 1970s, first in a small town of Córdoba province (Argentina) and then in the capital city. Within this framework there was a network of educational, material and family constraining factors in the producer's career, which allowed her to train and grow within the local art world, such as the partial support of her working-class family, her dedication to academic artistic studies, the training in the specialisation of sculpture to legitimise her production and her participation in exhibitions from the time she was a young artist.
