Resumen
El objetivo general de este artículo fue explorar una posible relación entre la existencia de patologías dermatológicas y la Condición del Espectro Autista (CEA) en mujeres adultas de Hispanoamérica. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica con un enfoque desde la Psiconeuroinmunoendocrinología (PINE) sobre la posible relación de la condición autista, la patología dermatológica y el estilo de afrontamiento. Para ello se consideraron las conductas dermatilomaníacas, la percepción subjetiva del estresor, y una posible correspondencia con el Síndrome de Sensibilización Central (SSC). Este artículo a pesar de ser piloto y con numerosas limitaciones, propone establecer una novedosa línea de base de investigación de CEA en mujeres que podría tener un alto impacto en la evaluación de las coocurrencias asociadas y apoyos específicos desde un abordaje integrativo con una perspectiva psiconeuroinmunoendocrinológica.
