Material culture and society in the XIX century: the refined earthenware in the city of Mendoza

Considering Mendoza city as a site, the refined earthenware from 16 excavations corresponding to before and after the 1861 earthquake are analyzed. Earthenware distributions in space by categories or classes discriminated according to its value and comparison with trends in local production ceramics allow to investigate the differences in consumption within the Mendoza society throughout the nineteenth century.Downloads
