Abstract

The oephalqmetry of a roentgenograpich method has been developed with de intention of studying the teleradiography of a  cranial profile with the purpose of determining the ang!es. and planes traced from different restoring bones to the only effect of measuring them, in orden to study the modffications of the growing and normal development of the individual mal y to be. treated. For the taking of a good t~leradiography the presencia of two fundamental elements is essential: the. Productiva source of X-rays and the cephalostat. Downs developed an analysis that bears his name and has been applied in the fifteen cephalometric calcos that have been analysed during work. The study of o.nly one cephalogram cannot be considered a diagnosis as it has been intended. The teleradiografhy is not more than an element of aid that lets us know the structures of the firm cranio-facial which joined to the  ther elements of judgement, carries us to a diagnosis, prognosis and appropriate plan of treatment.
