Memories for the future: an experience of university-union dialogue, exercising the right to history

Abstract

The cycle "Memorias para el Futuro. Espacio de formación política para estudiantes y trabajadores" was organised by the Unión Obrera Gráfica de Córdoba, el Foro Sindical de Derechos Humanos de la Mesa de Trabajo por los Derechos Humanos de Córdoba, la Biblioteca Nacional-sede Juan Filloy (Córdoba), el Centro de Estudiantes de la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades, y las Secretaría de Extensión, de Asuntos Estudiantiles, la Oficina de Graduadxs y el Programa de Derechos Humanos de la Facultad.. Throughout five meetings held between August and December 2022, it functioned as a meeting space for study, discussion, debate and exchange of knowledge between university and state institutions together with trade union and student organisations. It addressed historical issues such as the Trelew Massacre; gender struggles; cultural diversity; Sovereignty, National Thought and Universities; workers' projects such as the La Falda Programme. 

It brought together on equal terms teachers and researchers from the Faculty and the UNC, union and student leaders, to exercise the right to history, in terms of Human Rights.
